Every Saturday from 11 AM -- 12 PM Story Salon East is based on Story Salon in Los Angeles, a live storytelling venue. Everyone is welcome and seven people will each tell a story of up to seven minutes in length. Stories may be fact or fiction, serious or funny (although it's not stand-up comedy). Stacey Waite is a poet and University of Nebraska professor whose forthcoming book is Teaching Queer: Radical Possibilities for Writing and Knowing. Charif Shanahan is the winner of the Crab Orchard Series in Poetry First Book Award, and author of Into Each Room We Enter Without Knowing.
