The East End Arts Council has announced an open call for “The Print Continuum,” a national juried exhibition celebrating the enduring tradition and ongoing evolution of contemporary printmaking. This exhibition, running Oct. 24 through Dec. 13, brings together artists working across the printmaking medium, from established techniques to experimental approaches—and highlights artists who demonstrate a strong commitment to the craft, embrace innovation, and expand the expressive possibilities of printmaking.
Eligibility & Accepted Media
This exhibition welcomes artists working across the spectrum of printmaking practices, from traditional to experimental approaches. Eligible works include, but are not limited to: screen printing, relief printing, woodcut, linocut, intaglio, etching, lithography, monotype, collagraph, gel printing, and mixed-media works incorporating hybrid processes on paper, fabric, or other substrates.
Photography and 3D printing alone are not eligible; however, works incorporating these processes within original printmaking or mixed-media approaches are welcome.
Awards
- First Place: $1,000
- Second Place: $500
- Third Place: $250
Jurors Ellen Wiener and Bill Albertini, with curator Mich Miller, will select work that reflects the range and vitality of contemporary printmaking practice.
