The North Fork Arts Center in Greenport is seeking submissions through Aug. 24 for a fall show, “Impact: A Celebration of the Power of the Image,” opening Oct. 24.
All East End photographers — professionals, enthusiasts, students and anyone who loves taking pictures — are welcome to submit up to three photographs of any subject, style or genre, accompanied by a brief note about each image. The submission deadline is Aug. 24, 2026. There is no entry fee.
Every so often, a photograph stops you. You don’t choose it — it chooses you. You linger, you lean in, and long after you’ve walked away, it stays,” say the organizers. “IMPACT is a search for those photographs. Not the technically perfect ones, necessarily — the unforgettable ones.”
Selection will be by a blind jury process, judged solely on the merits of the image. Artists will be notified on Sept. 8, 2026 and delivery of pieces will be by Oct. 8, 2026.
The show will run from Oct. 24 through Nov. 22, 2026, with an opening reception on Oct. 24 from 4 to 6 p.m.
