East Hampton to Hold More Sessions on Airport – Now Virtual

Update 9/9/21: The East Hampton Town Board recently decided to return to virtual meetings as of Tuesday, September 7.   Accordingly, the in-person airport public engagement meetings scheduled at LTV Studios on Thursday, September 9, and at the Montauk Playhouse on September 13, both starting at 7 p.m., will instead be conducted via Zoom.  Those who signed up to participate will receive email notifications of the change with the zoom link.

East Hampton to Discuss “Revisioning” Its Airport

As of this September, East Hampton Town will have more power to regulate the future of its municipally-owned airport, after the expiration of a series of "grant assurances" the town has agreed to keep with the Federal Aviation Administration after taking FAA grant money decades ago. In anticipation of gaining more local control over the airport, the East Hampton Town Board will take public comment on its "airport revisioning process"
