East Hampton Town Supervisor Kathee Burke-Gonzalez released the town's 2027 Tentative Budget on Sept. 30, a $118.9 million spending plan that pierces the New York State tax cap and represents a 7.44 percent increase in spending. We had a great time Saturday morning joining a community determined to end dementia at the Fourth Annual North Fork Walk to End Alzheimer’s at Peconic Landing in Greenport. As of Saturday evening, more than 240 walkers and 36 teams had raised nearly $124,000 to support the Alzheimer’s Association’s research and support services. For the first time in four years, Riverhead Town's tentative budget, unveiled by Town Supervisor Jerry Halpin on Thursday, does not pierce the New York State tax cap limit.
