Nature Center to be Dedicated to Roy Latham

The North Fork Audubon Society is holding a garden party on Sunday, Sept. 8 at 3 p.m. to dedicate The Red House at Inlet Pond County Park on Route 48 in Greenport to the honor of North Fork Naturalist and Homegrown Hero Roy Latham. 

The Roy Latham Nature Center (as The Red House will now be known) will serve as a gathering place for community members to learn more about their natural heritage and about the man who dedicated his life to fastidiously documenting the natural world and local Native American History.
