 Stormwater runoff is a major source of pollution nationwide and in Suffolk County. Substances like oil, fertilizer, bacteria, pesticides, and other chemicals carried by stormwater causes poor water quality of our local bays, lakes and other water bodies. Learn how water quality impacts swimming beaches and shellfishing and what you can do to reduce stormwater pollution from your home.  Cornell Cooperative Extension Stormwater Educator, Mark Cappellino, presents this program as part of the Suffolk County Stormwater Management Program, brought to you by Suffolk County, County Executive Steve Bellone, Department of Public Works and the Department of Environment and Energy.
