The Red Door Chamber Players at the Vail-Leavitt Music Hall
August 10 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm$20
AUGUST 10, 3:00PM. The Red Door Chamber Players performs “Dueling Duos”
In early America, in the days of the horse and buggy, a homeowner would have his door painted red to show a sign of welcome to tired travelers, offering them hospitality for the evening. The Red Door Chamber Players welcome all to come and listen, relax, and share a truly unique musical experience at the highest level of musicianship.
Inspired by time spent performing with her colleagues, Artistic Director and violinist Lisa Casal-Galietta established the ensemble in 2015. Its members had already been playing together for many years throughout Long Island and New York City. All of the Red Door artists maintain flourishing careers through performances with professional orchestras, opera companies, recording sessions, solo recitals, and other musical projects. Many in the ensemble also balance their hectic performance schedules with a dedication to their private teaching studios, inspiring younger generations of musicians to share the joy of music. The collective has come together with a desire to bring high quality chamber music concerts to areas outside of Manhattan that deserve access to top notch performances in their own communities.
The ensemble’s passion for classical music is evident in their exciting programming and the energy they bring to the stage. The Red Door Chamber Players aim to provide audiences with a potpourri of chamber music selections, while the eclectic instrumentation makes every performance a musical surprise.
