Jamesport Fire Department Sound to Bay 10K & 5K
The Jamesport Fire Department Presents the 18th Annual Long Island Sound to Peconic Bay 10K & 5K RUN Sunday, August 28, 2016 9:00 AM (rain or shine) USATF Certified Course Runners for the 10K will be bussed to the starting area at Iron Pier Beach on Long Island Sound. The 5K runners will start and finish at the Jamesport Town Beach.

Over the Bridge: 6th Annual 10K Run and 5K Walk
The Hampton Bays Lions Club hosts their 5th Annual "Over the Bridge" 10K Run and 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, Sept. 10, with a 9 a.m. start. Second Annual Suffolk County Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K
The Second Annual Suffolk County Marathon: Freedom Fest 2016 will be held on Sunday, Oct. 30, 2016, and will include a marathon, half marathon, and a newly added 5K race. Jordan’s Run Veterans’ Memorial
Jordan Haerter grew up in the small village of Sag Harbor, New York. Killed in Action in Iraq during the firefight that earned him the Navy Cross, he was Sag Harbor's first battlefield loss since World War II. The fellow Marine referenced in his citation was Corporal Jonathan Yale, who was also Killed in Action and who was also posthumously awarded the Navy Cross in the same ceremony.
