Starting a Kitchen Garden with PLT at the Agricultural Center at Charnews Farm
Small is beautiful…and easy. Thinking of growing your own vegetables and herbs this year? Now’s the time to get started. Senior Manager of Stewardship Denise Markut will share her expertise on selecting and sourcing quality and unique varieties of seeds/transplants, best practices for prepping a garden, when to plant, improving soil, and tips on growing in a raised bed or small garden space for a productive, long season of fresh food.
