Skull Science with NYS DEC and Group for the East End at Downs Farm Preserve
With Halloween just around the corner, this is the perfect time of year to study animal skulls! Join us at Downs Farm Preserve as we take a look at the skulls of NYS mammals, and try to determine the diet of the animal based on dentition. Educators will point out muscle attachments, eye placement, skull size, and other characteristics to help you see the animal through the bones. A family donation is appreciated.
