• We’re expecting sunny skies today, with a high temperature near 48 degrees but wind chill values between 20 and 30 early, with a northwest wind 13 to 16 miles per hour. It will be mostly cloudy Monday night, with a low around 31 and a 30 percent chance of rain after 1 a.m. Tuesday will be mostly cloudy, with a steady temperature around 39 and a 30 percent chance of rain before 1 p.m. Wednesday will be mostly sunny and breezy, with a high near 44.

• As the South Fork Wind Farm work shifts from onshore cable laying to offshore work this spring, offshore wind developers pitched eight new projects in late January for the New York State Energy Research & Development Agency’s latest round of solicitations for offshore wind. Read More.
