• Turtle crossing season will soon be upon us, and as turtles are on the move here, the Friends of the Long Pond Greenbelt are looking for help with a study on how the urbanization of Long Island is affecting turtles here. Read More.
• Ubergeek Brewing Company at 400 Hallett Avenue in Riverhead hosts a New York Blood Center blood drive today from 1 to 7 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments can also be made online here.

• The Cutchogue Civic Association will hold a conversation on “A Fresh Look at Your Property Tax Bill —Line, by Line, by Line” with Southold Town Tax Assessor Kevin Webster on Thursday, April 24 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Cutchogue-New Suffolk Library.
• Southampton Town holds its annual Great East End Clean-Up, a volunteer-based program to remove litter and debris from the town’s roadsides, parks, trails, and beaches, on Saturday and Sunday, April 26 & 27. Participants pick an area of public property to clean and register on the town’s website, southamptontownny.org. The town provides garbage bags and disposal passes, which can be picked up Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. at Southampton Town Hall or the Town’s Public Safety & Emergency Management Office at 27 Ponquogue Ave. in Hampton Bays.
• The North Fork Environmental Council’s annual Earth Day 5K will be held this Sunday, April 27 at Indian Island County Park in Riverhead. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., and the race is at 10. Here’s More Info.
