Good Morning!
• Today will be sunny, with a high near 80 degrees and a northwest wind around 7 miles per hour, becoming southwest in the afternoon. There’s a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms overnight, with mostly cloudy skies and a low around 64. There’s a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms on Tuesday, with cloudy skies and a high near 75. Wednesday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 79.
• The New York State Legislature has approved an East End Community Housing Fund that echo the Community Preservation Fund, utilizing a .5 percent real estate transfer tax to create workforce housing. The bill now awaits Governor Andrew Cuomo’s signature. If signed, it would be put up for a mandatory referendum before East End voters. The Beacon’s full story is online here.
