Good Morning!

• We’re expecting mostly sunny skies today, with a high temperature near 78 degrees and a northeast wind 10 to 13 miles per hour. Skies will be mostly cloudy early this evening, then gradually becoming clear, with a low around 59. Friday will be sunny, with a high near 80, and Saturday will be sunny, with a high near 83.

• There will be an opening reception for “Abstract Expressions” at the Ezra Gallery, 24 Long Island Avenue, Sag Harbor this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Works by Casey Chalem Anderson, Dana Little Brown, Kimberly Goff, Jane Johnson, Asia Lee, Mark Seidenfeld and Gabriele Vigorelli will be on display. Proceeds benefit the Center for Jewish Life in Sag Harbor. More info is at cfjewishlife.com.

• Friday Morning Birders with John Turner and North Fork Audubon will be held tomorrow from 8 to 10 a.m. Meet at the southern entry point to Calverton Park, on Grumman Boulevard/River Road across from the Line Road intersection.  More details are at northforkaudubon.org.

• Guild Hall in East Hampton is asking the community to join them at Main Beach on four consecutive Saturday nights — Sept. 10, 17, 24 and Oct. 1 from 6 to 10 p.m. for a series of unmissable happenings, “Swept Away: Love Letter to a Surrogate(s),” at the water’s edge in front of the Pavilion. • The Peconic Land Trust is partnering with Herstory Writers Workshop for a four-part writer’s workshop in a bilingual format this fall, set in four beautiful locations to inspire writers to explore, through personal memoir, questions related to the interconnectedness of nature, renewal, agriculture and food insecurity, social justice, and access for all.
