Learn where the first U.S. Navy Submarine Base was commissioned, how the first transatlantic passenger flights left from Port Washington, where America’s first published African American poet lived, and much more! This event includes wine and cheese and a book sale & signing!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Landmarks & Historic Sites of Long Island is Ralph Brady’s first book, followed by a history of his old hometown of Glendale in Queens County, and a time-travel novel based on his family’s history, set in 1899 Greenport and New Suffolk. Brady has been a Long Island resident for more than forty years and continues to pursue his love of Long Island’s history and his exploration of local waters as a certified SCUBA diver and kayaking enthusiast.
