Breeding Warblers in Montauk with SoFo

June 12, 2014 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 pm

Thirteen species of warblers have been recorded as breeders on Long Island; nine are confirmed breeders in one area in Montauk. Joe, an experienced birder and delightful teacher, will lead you on a search to find these active small songbirds and, with luck, you will hear them singing and possibly see them carrying food to their nests. This walk is for adults, however children over the age of 12 may attend.

Leader: Joe Giunta, birding instructor for the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, trip leader for New York City Audubon and lecturer for many local chapters, and owner of Happy Warblers LLC, a birding and educational travel company.

SoFo events are free for members, $5 for child non-members and $7 for adult non-members. To make a reservation for this program, please call the museum at 631.537.9735.
