Community Banner-Making for International Women’s Day at UUCSF

March 6 @ 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm

UUCSF

The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the South Fork (UUCSF) invites the community to gather in creativity, solidarity, and celebration at a drop-in collaborative art event on Friday, March 6, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the congregation’s meetinghouse, located at 977 Bridgehampton–Sag Harbor Turnpike, Bridgehampton.

Participants of all ages are welcome to help create a collective banner honoring the courage, leadership, and contributions of women around the world. Art supplies will be provided. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own ideas for messages, inspirational quotes, doodles, and drawings, and to invite friends and family to join. The event is intergenerational, and children and youth are especially encouraged to participate.

The completed banner will be displayed in front of the UUCSF meetinghouse on March 6, 7, and 8, inviting the broader community to reflect, celebrate, and take action in support of human rights and gender justice.

This gathering is held in solidarity with events taking place across the country in response to a national call from Women’s March. Through art and community, UUCSF seeks to honor the brave women of the past, present, and future while uplifting the values of dignity, equality, and justice for all.

In times of challenge and hope alike, we believe that coming together in creativity and shared purpose can inspire meaningful change. This event is an opportunity for neighbors to connect, express their values, and stand in solidarity with women everywhere.

All are welcome.
