Foxes, Wolves and Coyotes of Long Island with North Fork Audubon
August 8, 2014 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Free
The ultimate suburbia, Long Island, is not always thought of as a home for canine predators. But in the past and presently in the near future, Long Island is becoming a bastion of biodiversity despite human-caused changes at a rapid pace.
Proof of the intelligence and adaptability of our pet dogs’ wild cousins and their tolerance of us is becoming evident, being that they have no other choice but to adapt. Will we?
Presenter Frank Vincenti has a local carnivore conservation and education group called the Wild Dog Foundation (www.wilddog.org). For info: 516.526.9095 or info@northforkaudubon.org
