When her husband is sentenced to eight years in prison, Ruby drops out of medical school in order to focus on her husband’s well-being while he’s incarcerated – leading her on a journey of self-discovery in the process.
This film, directed by Ava DuVernay, is the first in a series of four films in July titled “Four Women Make Movies,” and is part of the Floyd Memorial Library’s Summer Film Festival. All films are show on Thursdays at 6 p.m.
