Heart of Riverhead Civic Association Meeting

For the April meeting of the Heart of Riverhead Civic Association, Dr. Augustine Tornatore, the Superintendent of our Riverhead School District, will be the guest.  The public is invited to attend this coming Wednesday, April 12 at 6 p.m. at the Riverhead Free Library.

Continuing the goal to connect HRCA members and the greater community with local officials, the conversation with Dr. Tornatore will provide the opportunity to learn more about the individual schools and educational programs, what’s new, what’s in the works and how residents can support the students, teachers and our district.  

The HRCA’s Juan Micieli-Martinez explains, “As a taxpayer and parent of a RCSD student, the opportunity to have a one-on-one conversation with our District Superintendent will be greatly beneficial.”  

Questions will be taken in person or can be submitted in advance on the “Heart of Riverhead Civic Association” Facebook Group or via email to HeartofRiverheadCivic@gmail.com 

The April 12 meeting will also include a brief update by the civic association’s Quality of Life Action Group on the work addressing homeless issues and their impact on the town, plus a call for artists and info on upcoming informational events.  

The Heart of Riverhead Civic Association (HRCA) was established to amplify the voices of local residents and businesses, to share concerns, shape the future and strengthen the community.  Membership is open to residents or friends for $25 or $50 for local businesses.  For additional information on this meeting and more, email HeartofRiverheadCivic@gmail.com
