“How to Grow Your Business” Seminar Hosted by Southold Town

The Southold Economic Development Committee is partnering wit the Long Island Development Corporation and the Long Island Small Business Assistance Corp. to sponser a series of educational workshops this year.
The workshops will be tailered towards helping specific Southold industries with information and resources and will feature speakers with exceptional expertise in their respective fields regarding access to low-cost loan programs, including capital projects and free technical advice to promote business growth.
The kick-off event, to be held at the Peconic Lane Community Center on Jan. 23 from 9 to 10:30 a.m., will inclue information on viticulture and agricultural businesses with Augie Ruckdeschel, farmlands administrator for Suffolk County Economic Development and Planning; Roz Goldmacher, president of the Long Island Development Corp. and the Long Island Small Business Assistance Corp.; Robert Carpenter, an administrator for the Long Island Farm Bureau and Steven Bate, executive director of the Logn Island Wine Council.
Other workshops will focus on commercial fishing and aquaculture, not-for-profits and start-up entrepreneurs and inventers.
