Invasive Removal Paddle on the Peconic River

July 8, 2014 @ 9:30 am - 2:30 pm

Free

Join Group for the East End and Peconic Estuary Program on July 8th, to help remove invasive plants from the Peconic River! We will paddle parts of the Peconic River and Lake to remove invasive water-primrose. Invasive plants can choke our waterways and make them inhospitable for native plants and wildlife.

The group will meet at 9:30 a.m. at Peconic Lake Estates Civic Organization (PLECO) in Calverton.

If you register by July 6 a kayak can be provided for you. Please contact Christine Tylee at Group for the East End to register for this fun volunteer program (631-765-6450 x208 orctylee@eastendenvironment.org).
