JDTLab: “Life is Shorts” by Kat O’Neill at Guild Hall

LIFE IS SHORTS is a night to delight all those suffering from attention deficit disorder and convert all those unfortunates not yet suffering. Written and directed by Kat O’Neill, it weaves together 18 short plays with titles like, A DRAMA IN FIVE WORDS, I MET FRIDA KAHLO AT A DINER AND WHAT A BORE SHE TURNED OUT TO BE and IT AIN’T OVER TILL THE OLD LADY STOPS SCREWING.

This is the debut of LIFE IS SHORTS.

Starring Joe Pallister, Lydia Franco-Hodges, Nick Fondulis, Dina Morgan Lotito, and James M. Lotito

Kat-O’NeillKat O’Neill has written for stage and screen. She was an Artist in Residence at Avalon Theatre, Workhouse Theatre and Looking Glass Theatre, all located in NYC.

Kat studied writing at NYU, New School, Circle Repertory, Manhattan Punchline and Actor’s Studio. She was awarded “Best emerging playwright” by Playwright’s Preview Productions in NYC. Along the way, she was also an award-winning writer/creative director/partner at global agencies in NY, Chicago and London. Now, living full-time in East Hampton, when not writing plays Kat is Chief Creative at her creative consulting firm, Big Bidness Inc.

She is also a contributing fiction writer to The East Hampton Star since 2007 with a series entitled “Uncle Jack’s.”
