CITIZENS CLIMATE LOBBY

Monday, April 11, 7 p.m. Southampton Town’s Senior Citizens Center in Hampton Bays

The League of Women Voters of the Hamptons invites the community to an open forum featuring a speaker from the East End chapter of the Citizens Climate Lobby on Monday, April 11, 7 p.m. at Southampton Town’s Senior Citizens Center, 25 Ponquogue Ave. in Hampton Bays.

The Citizens Climate Lobby is part of a national environmental organization that proposes a phased-in imposition of a carbon tax—a fee on fossil fuels (oil and coal) at the extraction point, which would then be rebated to households.

Refreshments will precede the talk, and a question-and-answer session will follow.
