“Living on the Edge: Coastal Issues, Climate Change” with Kevin McAllister at SoFo

Program Presenter: Kevin McAllister, founding president of DefendH2O and coastal scientist. Kevin holds undergraduate degrees in Natural Resources Conservation and Marine Biology, as well as a Master’s of Science in Coastal Zone Management. His professional experience spans 30 years, working in government, consultancy and the nonprofit sectors of environmental protection.

In this vividly illustrated presentation, Kevin will address the physical and ecological implications of climate change locally. His talk will address projected changes in sea level, what it means for our communities, and what the appropriate responses are to ensure that our region’s beaches, wetlands, and other natural resources remain sustainable.
