Saturday, April 21, 2018, 7:00-10:00 PM. “Jupiter: King of the Planets”

This summer, Jupiter will be riding high in the sky, and so what better time to talk about this amazing planet. Sean Tvelia, Professor of Geology, and Dr. Mike Inglis, Professor of Astrophysics, both at SCCC, will present an up-to-date lecture on our current understanding of this giant planet. Sean will discuss some of the myriad moons of the Jupiter, while Mike will cover what we know about the planet itself. With the latest images and most recent scientific data, this lively and well-illustrated talk will give an overview of the largest planet in our solar system.

Cost: free, although donations to help support Montauk Observatory are
greatly appreciated.
