Greenport eighth-grader Joe McInnis may have made a break in a case that’s stumped scientists worldwide.   For the past year, Joe has been working with retired Plum Island veterinary pathologist Doug Gregg to determine the cause of colony collapse disorder, a global phenomenon in which adult bees disappear from the colony.
