Peconic Community School hosts “Create: A Maker Fair”

March 25, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

At the PCS Maker Faire March 12

The Peconic Community School will host Create: a Maker Fair on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at their Aquebogue campus from 10 am to 2 pm.

Local “Makers” will present workshops and demos at this family-friendly festival of invention, creativity and resourcefulness in celebration of the Maker movement. This community and family event will feature everything from robotics and legos, coding and felting, origami and art…the list goes on.

Described as part science fair, part county fair, the Maker Fair is an all-ages gathering of tech enthusiasts, crafters, educators, tinkerers, engineers, science clubs, artists, students, and commercial exhibitors. Children can enjoy hands-on projects and demonstrations, and adults can learn more about the Peconic Community School and the Maker movement.

A fishbowl auction will offer unique prizes and a special door prize will be awarded to one lucky attendee. Tickets can be purchase by visiting www.peconiccommunityschool.org or by calling 631.779.2934. All proceeds to benefit the Peconic Community School.
