Rain Gardens, Native Plantings & Rain Barrels: A Discussion with PEP at SoFo

August 8, 2015 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Free

The Peconic Estuary Program (PEP) is providing a unique opportunity for you if you live within the Peconic Estuary watershed area of East Hampton, Southampton, Shelter Island, Southold, Riverhead, and Brookhaven Townships. The PEP will provide financial rewards for homeowners who remove turf and pavement and add native vegetation areas and/or rain barrels or rain gardens to their properties. Homeowners can earn up to $500 to offset the expense of installing this green infrastructure. Funds are limited and will be granted on a first-come first-served basis, so don’t miss out! Learn more from Sherryll about the rewards program, improving your property, reducing pollution from entering local waters, and about your local estuary and all of its bays at this informative program.
