Each spring Alewife return from the sea to our coastal bays and rivers to spawn in freshwater. This fish in an important source of food for many larger animals including striped bass, bluefish and osprey! Learn how you can help monitor the arrival of these fish during the spring spawning season from March-May. Register at peptalk@peconicestuary.org
