Scott Chaskey Teaches Nature Writing at Canio’s Books

Registration is now open for a two-session workshop entitled “Writing About Nature” with Scott Chaskey, head farmer at Quail Hill CSA in Amagansett and author, most recently, of Seedtime: On the History, Husbandry, Politics, and Promise of Seeds. Scott Chaskey is also a poet and author of This Common Ground: Seasons on an Organic Farm. For years he taught in the Poets-in-the-Schools program on the East End.

The two-session two-hour workshop, sponsored by Canio’s Cultural Cafe, will meet on Thursday, Feb. 19 and Thrs. Feb. 26 at 4:30 p.m. Students will discuss examples of various forms of nature writing and respond to assignments. Registration and fee ($75.) required.
