ANNA BERGMAN premiered her show “MY HEART STOOD STILL: The Love Songs of Richard Rodgers” for Feinstein’s at Loews Regency to open its 10th Anniversary season in fall 2008. Hailed by The Washington Post as “a songstress who has triumphed in everything from Broadway-flavored tunes to opera arias and the sultry innuendoes of the cabaret chanteuse,” Anna pays tribute to the exquisite melodies of Richard Rodgers and the masterful lyricists he collaborated with: Lorenz Hart (“Bewitched”), Oscar Hammerstein (“Something Wonderful”), Sheldon Harnick (“Away From You”), Martin Charnin (“Golden Ram”) and Stephen Sondheim (“Do I Hear A Waltz?”). Anna searches for the heart that beats inside all of us…as we long for, revel in, and sometimes lose, at love. It’s a match made in musical heaven and one that lovers of The American Songbook will not want to miss.
