Sounds of Summer: Jake Lear at Parrish Art Museum

August 7, 2015 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free with Museum Admission
Jake Lear

“Take the intensity of Stevie Ray Vaughan’s scorching guitar technique and apply it to Bob Dylan’s stark, earnest songwriting, and what you now have is the music of bluesman Jake Lear,” writes Elmore Magazine. Lear, who was born in Vermont and raised on blues and country music has spent the last three year’s playing to thousands on Memphis’ renowned Beale Street, honing the hard-hitting blues on which he is building a growing national reputation. Now a resident of the East End, Jake and his band make their first appearance at the Parrish this summer!

Sounds of Summer provides a full season of al fresco music in the unique setting that is the Parrish’s covered Mildred C. Brinn Terrace. Bring a lawn chair for the terrace or blanket for the Stewart F. Lane and Bonnie Comley Foundation Event Lawn and soak in the lively music.

All Sounds of Summer concerts are free with Museum admission.
