Southold Peconic Civic Talks Carroll Ave. Housing Proposal

February 24 @ 10:00 am

The Southold Peconic Civic Association hosts an informational meeting on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 10 a.m. at the Southold Recreation Center at 970 Peconic Lane to hear from developers Rona Smith of Housing Initiatives LLC and David Gallo of Georgica Green Ventures on their plans for Peconic Point Homes on Carroll Avenue in Peconic.

Southold Town owns the property, which it agreed to sell to Georgica Green Ventures for $500,000 in December of 2023, pending approval of the project by the town’s land use boards.

The proposal details a neighborhood of eight single-story buildings with four cottage-style attached homes in each building.

The floor plans show a mix of one to three bedroom apartments ranging from 659 square feet to 1,151 square feet, which would be sold to individuals who meet the income qualifications at prices ranging from $285,000 to $380,000.
