This training meets New York State Department of Health requirements and includes recognition of opioid overdose, administration of intranasal NARCAN, and steps to take until EMS arrives. Participants will receive a certificate of completion and an emergency resuscitation kit that includes NARCAN. This session will also cover the dangers associated with accidental exposure to fentanyl and its analogs in its powdered form and steps to take to
protect yourself when caring for an overdose patient.
