Please bring your entire family to the 86th Annual Fisherman’s Fair at Ashawagh Hall on Saturday, August 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  

This country fair will have a children’s area with fun creative activities including shell painting, treasure chest decorating, spin art and the popular fish print using real fluke and flounder;  Restaurant Raffle and local dishes.  The Society offers corn, hot dogs, clams and drinks with vendors serving up seafood, beer and other food options along with ice-cold frozen desserts. Browse the crafts fair, 51st Annual Springs Artists Invitational Exhibition and selection of SIS merchandise while enjoying East End musical talent throughout the day.  

The Fisherman’s Fair began as a community exchange for the local fisherman of Springs to sell their goods along with local women of the community who came with hand-made clothing along with home-made baked and canned goods. It was started as something similar to today’s farmers markets. It is a continually run community event which reflects our local area.  Our focus remains on being a family country fair while considering today’s modern world.
