Studio on the Steps: Persons of Influence with Andrea Cote at Southampton Arts Center

What issues motivate you? The Environment, Social Justice, Freedom of Speech? Inspired by the exhibition on view, Winning the White House: From Press Prints to Selfies, participants will create pro-active videos and photos while trying on a character to interview. *This program will take place indoors in the gallery amidst the exhibition.

Andrea Cote is a multi-disciplinary artist living in Flanders, New York. Whether working in video, printmaking, or performance, she is interested in how our bodies leave their mark upon the world. She has exhibited her work internationally as well as locally, including recent public community-based projects for Riverhead and Greenport. She has been working as an educator throughout the East End for 10 years and enjoys facilitating collaboration and experimentation. www.andreacote.com
