Preserving the Earth’s Ecosystems—It all starts in your front yard
Presenter: Sean O’Neill, Director of Education and Outreach for the Perfect Earth Project
If you want your landscaping to be both beautiful and healthy for the environment, you couldn’t find a better resource than this program designed by the non-profit Perfect Earth Project. The Project, led by landscape designer Edwina von Gal, promotes toxin-free lawn and landscape management and sustainable land use. In conjunction with von Gal’s Perfect Earth Project located in Panama, the East End organization works to preserve the earth’s ecosystems, protect biodiversity, and promote healthy communities by helping people to make informed decisions, take sustainable actions, and share knowledge. In this presentation, Sean, Director of Education, will discuss the dangers of conventional synthetic landscape chemicals to human health and the environment, show examples of toxin-free landscaping, give timely landscape advice for the fall, and take your questions. He will also detail the efforts of the Perfect Earth Project domestically and globally.
