Join Group for the East End and local herbalist, April Alexander, at Downs Farm Preserve as we learn to make our own salve.  This wonderful salve is soothing to the skin for many ailments including bug bites, scrapes, bruises and minor burns.  April’s focus is on learning and sharing traditional herbal knowledge.  She is an active participant in the International Herb Symposium, the Northeast Women’s Herbal Conference and is a member of United Plant Savers, and the North East Herbal Association. She has also worked with Rosemary Gladstar, Matthew Wood and others within the herbal community.  Attendees will make and take home their own salves. Program cost is $30 per person, and registration is required. For reservations or more information, please contact Christine Tylee at 631-765-6450 ext. 208 or ctylee@eastendenvironment.org.

Program repeats on Saturday, Sept. 23 from 10 a.m. to noon.
