Traditional Herbal Remedies: Tincture Making with GFEE at Downs Farm Preserve,

Herbalist April Alexander will teach us the healing power of plants through this tincture making workshop at Downs Farm Preserve in Cutchogue.  Tinctures (alcohol extracts) can be applied both topically and internally to help as a sleep aid and to treat fevers, colds, and even depression. April’s focus is on learning and sharing of traditional herbal knowledge.

She is an active participant in the International Herb Symposium, the Northeast Women’s Herbal Conference and is a member of United Plant Savers, and the North East Herbal Association. She has also worked with Rosemary Gladstar, Matthew Wood and others within the herbal community.

* Attendees will make and take home their own tincture.

* Program cost is $30 per person.
