When the Wind Blows: For Children Ages 5-7 at SoFo
August 28, 2016 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm
$3 – $10.50
Workshop Leader: Melanie Meade, South Fork Natural History Museum (SoFo) Nature Educator
What is wind? Can you see wind? How do you know when the wind is blowing? Come and listen to a story about wind from the book When the Wind Blows by Richard and Amy Hutchings; then conduct experiments with different types of materials to see how wind moves things and how wind affects our environment. You’ll make a wind spinner to take home and enjoy. Materials fee: $3
Advance reservations are required for all SoFo events, which are free for members and cost $10 for adult non-members and $7.50 for child non-members. For more information, reservations, and directions to meeting places, please call: 631.537.9735.
