Winter School Recess at SoFo

10:30 am – 11:30 am

This is a great time of year to join our SoFo Nature Educators for some fun in the field. Winter brings natural beauty to the outdoors and new things to use your senses for—silhouettes of trees and plants, some still bearing their leaves; animals that spend their winters here, and their natural adaptations; a variety of sparkling snow crystals and violet shadows on snow. It’s an opportunity to use all your senses in a different way than in the fall or spring.

Here’s the schedule:

• December 26 – Monday: Animal evidence in winter with Melanie
• December 27 – Tuesday: Winter trees and plants with Xylia
• December 28 – Wednesday: Make an orange bird feeder with Eleni
• December 29 – Thursday: Winter weather/animal adaptations with Ashley
• December 30 – Friday: Winter birds of the field with Crystal
