Full Sturgeon Moon Hike at Downs Farm Preserve
August 15, 2019 @ 8:30 pm - 10:30 pm

According to “The Old Farmer’s Almanac,” August’s full moon is also called the “Sturgeon Moon” and received its name from the Algonquin tribes in eastern North America who knew it as the time when this large fish was abundant. Throughout this guided one mile walk, you’ll discover the sights and sounds of the preserve beneath the moonlight. You may have the opportunity to even see or hear an owl! Flashlight or headlamp suggested. Space is limited so register today.
Registration required. For reservations or more information, please contact Christine Tylee at ctylee@eastendenvironment.org.
