deer

“Oh, Deer…”, a deer and tick management forum hosted by the Cutchogue Civic Association, will be held on Thursday, April 20 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Cutchogue-New Suffolk Library, 27550 Main Road, Cutchogue.

With tick season nearly upon us, local experts will offer their first-hand knowledge on this much-discussed topic and offer their insights on solutions, both proven and feasible, that can be implemented town wide as well as neighborhood by neighborhood.

Speakers will be:

• Greg Doroski, Southold Town board member and liaison to the town’s Deer Management Task Force

• Craig Jobes, Southold Town environmental analyst in charge of the hunting program and de facto member of the Deer Management Task Force

• Arnold Blair, Nassau Point Property Owners Association Deer Committee and member of the Deer Management Task Force.

• John Rasweiler, PhD, a retired medical school professor and Cornell-trained reproductive physiologist who has spent much of his scientific career working with wildlife.

The meeting is open to the public.  For more information, contact Carolyn McCall, 614.353.6037 or cmccall2@mac.com.
