Sundays At Two: The American Chestnut with April Gonzales at the Long Pond Greenbelt Nature Center

April Gonzales eats chestnuts all the time. Years ago she came across a pair of nuns collecting chestnuts in an Italian forest. The nuts were everywhere. Maybe that is where it all started…. April will discuss the American Chestnut and bring the little chestnuts that she grew from seed chestnuts. She will also have actual chestnuts that she is planning on potting up this spring. Sundays at 2 are free and open to the public.
