Noah’s Restaurant to host Kelp Tasting Dinner for CCE
June 23, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
$85
Noah’s Restaurant in Greenport is working with Cornell Cooperative Extension’s marine program on a special dinner using an ingredient being grown in a pilot program throughout the Peconic Estuary: Kelp.
Chef Noah Schwartz has prepared a culinary adventure for this Friday, June 23 at 7 p.m. using sugar kelp, a species native to the Long Island Sound that is being grown by CCE on Suffolk County’s aquaculture lease areas in the Peconics. Wines from Castello di Borghese will be paired with his creations.
Tickets are $85 and are available online here.
This event will also include a mini installation of Kara Hoblin’s Sea Something Save Something marine themed art exhibition. Artwork will be on view in the dining room during the Kelp Tasting Dinner and listed for sale, with a portion of proceeds supporting the work of CCE Marine Program.
