To the editor:
Every Sunday at 3 p.m. for the last several weeks, a community gathering of people of conscience has met at the windmill on the wharf in Sag Harbor.
The group firmly rejects US support for the Israeli attack on Gaza, which at this writing, has resulted in over 18,000 deaths, over 6,000 of them children.
Gaza’s people are facing mass starvation amid a punishing Israeli offensive that has “stripped families’ options for survival,” aid groups warned last Saturday according to the Washington Post.
The Sag Harbor group rejects using Hamas’s October killing of about 1,200 Israelis as justification for Israel’s reaction.
It calls for a cease fire now.
Join the group this coming Sunday at 3 p.m.
