Reeve’s Beach, Riverhead

Riverhead Town is celebrating its 225th anniversary in 2017, and the town is seeking a logo for the festivities that “creatively celebrates Riverhead Town.”

Applications for the logo are due June 30, 2016. The contest is open to everyone, regardless of age or whether they are Riverhead residents.

Artists may submit up to two entries, and must complete an entry form and release for each entry, and preference will be given to designs that work well in different formats, including publications, signs, website and on promotional items and in black and white printing. The town is suggesting the design use no more than four colors.

Sketches, drawings, paintings and electronic entries in EPS, JPG or PDF formats will be accepted, but print submissions should be no larger than 8.5 by 11 inches and should be on a sturdy surface such as Bristol board. The artist’s name should be on the back of each entry, and the town is encouraging artists to provide a brief explanation of the design.

Applications may be submitted by mail to Councilman Tim Hubbard, Riverhead Town Hall, 200 Howell Ave. Riverhead, NY 11901
