Pictured Above: The East End Seaport Museum’s Maritime Festival in Greenport, rescheduled this weekend from late September, proved to have something for everyone — wind, rain, a little sun and a lot of cheer to brighten up what has been an otherwise gloomy and rainy weekend fall festival season on the East End.

Good Morning!

• We’re expecting mostly sunny skies today, with a high temperature near 59 degrees and a north wind 10 to 13 miles per hour. We’re expecting mostly clear skies overnight, with a low around 38 and patchy frost after 5 a.m. Tuesday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 62, and Wednesday will be sunny, with a high near 67.

• Riverhead’s Industrial Development Agency has a resolution on making determinations regarding the application of Calverton Aviation & Technology, which is in contract to purchase a vast swath of the Enterprise Park at Calverton, on its agenda for its 5 p.m. meeting this evening, which will be held at the old town hall building at 200 Howell Avenue in Riverhead. Here’s the agenda, which includes the text of the resolution. The IDA is charged with determining whether CAT is “qualified and eligible” to purchase the property — this decision could be the deciding factor on the future of EPCAL. According to the IDA, due to the relocation of equipment to the new town hall, the meeting will not be aired live on Channel 22. It will be broadcast on Zoom at this link. • After six formal public hearings and several meetings with the Greenport Village community and business district, the Greenport Village Board unanimously adopted a broad series of zoning code changes at its Oct. 19 work session, and lifted a downtown development moratorium slated to expire on Nov. 2. • The League of Women Voters of the Hamptons, Shelter Island & the North Fork hosts a Zoom debate for Southampton Town Board and Town Supervisor candidates this evening at 7 p.m., aired live on Sea-TV’s YouTube channel

• Riverhead Masonic Lodge #645, at 1246 Roanoke Avenue in Riverhead, hosts a New York Blood Center blood drive from 1 to 7 p.m. today. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments can also be made online here.

• The North Fork Pollinator Pathway is kicking off a major planting initiative today at Custer Preserve, next door to the Custer Institute on Main Bayview Avenue in Southold from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visit their Instagram for more information.
